The Argali Lake Scenic Area is 4.5km from the Shanghaizi Lake Service Zone and 5km from the Swallow's Stone Nest. Sprawling at an altitude of 3,676m, the Argali Lake has a water surface area of roughly 450,000 square meters and water depth between two to six meters. This classic high alpine lake is famous for its crystal-clear water that forms the habitat to various coldwater fishes and rockfishes, while wild ducks and other birds often rest on the lake surface. The eponymous argali, a kind of mountain sheep, are also often seen roaming in the area, which includes old-growth forest, rhododendron forest, ancient Min River Cypresses and peculiarly-shaped rocks, as well as renowned sights like the Pyramid Snow Mountain, Banji Peak, General's Peak, Shi'er Cainv Peak (Twelve Female Intellects Peak) and Camel Peak.
