The Red Rock Plateau is located 6km from the Namu Lake Spring Resort Hotel and 7km from the Shanghaizi Lake Service Zone. Between altitudes of 3,100m - 3,500m, on Red Rock Plateau are numerous scenic spots such as the Red Rock Shoal, Red Rock Source and Rhododendron Forest. The Red Rock Plateau is one of the genuine highlights of the entire Bipenggou Valley region, as the whole area is filled with a kind of red rock that has been confirmed by experts to have been formed from granite that has been covered by a type of algae. This copious expanse of literally living red rocks in the Bipenggou Valley is extremely rare, and is a comparatively large red rock shoal. In the winter, visitors can even see a unique waterfall here at the Red Rock Plateau, which is like a phenomenally blue, creatively shaped and impeccably crystal work of art crafted by nature.
